The Carson City Sheriff's Office is investigating a stabbing incident that happened Saturday night at a Woodside Drive residence.
Carson City man arrested for falsely reporting daughter kidnapped, causing felony traffic stop of strangers
Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Sat, 02/15/2020 - 11:32amA 39-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the area of Highway 50 and Brown Street after filing a false police report, accusing another person of kidnapping.
According to the report, deputies were dispatched to the scene of a vehicle that had been reported in connection with a possible kidnapping in the area of Highway 50 and Brown.

Lyon County Commissioners approve new Dayton subdivision, reject mobile home workforce housing park

A proposed Silver Springs mobile home park, which would provide workforce rental housing, was denied.

Two weeks ago she was in a very serious head on collision on Highway 50. A woman was going the wrong direction on the highway. She was airlifted to Renown, is finally home and has a long recovery ahead of her. I would love to do something special for her in her time of healing, and quite frankly anytime! She is caring, loving, compassionate, giving, honest and so much more! She never asks for anything so I hope you’ll consider my story so I could surprise her with an evening out! She deserves it!
