Carson City businesses checked recently for tobacco, alcohol IDs
Several Carson City businesses recently passed compliance checks when minors tried to buy tobacco or alcohol.
Working with the Carson City Sheriff’s Office and Partnership Carson City, teenage volunteers attempted to buy tobacco from Carson City businesses on June 13. Cashiers from each of those businesses asked to see an identification, then denied the sale.
Volunteers tested alcohol compliance on June 14. All of the businesses checked the IDs of the underage volunteers.
