Join CCAI in celebrating the newest Courthouse Gallery exhibit: ‘Writing from Mars’ by Rick Parsons opens today with a reception at 5 p.m. Le Cirque Vagabond brings their rock sideshow revue, Asylum, to the Brewery Arts Center’s Performance Hall for a special performance; no one under 18 will be admitted. Choose from a number of venues hosting bands, karaoke, or DJs for a fun night out. If you’d like to be a performer yourself, consider auditioning for PPI’s newest venture, The Producers.

A 48-year-old man was arrested early Friday for misdemeanor suspicion of obstructing and resisting an officer and a failure to appear warrant, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

A 27-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday for felony suspicion of providing false identification to avoid prosecution, two misdemeanor probation violations, basic speeding, driving without driver’s license and no proof of insurance, a sheriff's deputy said.

Learn about the future of the Stewart Indian School Historic Site during an encore lecture at the Nevada State Museum. A man was arrested early Tuesday for trespassing after he was found on the runway at Carson City Airport, a sheriff's deputy said. It was the second such time the man has been trespassed for being on the runway.

A man suffered third degree burns following a fire Sunday at a Gardnerville apartment that is believed to have started from an illicit butane hash oil extraction process, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

MINDEN — In the early morning hours of January 14, 2018, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office received information from a confidential source that an adult female friend of his may have been battered by and currently held against her will by her boyfriend at a residence where they reside together in Gardnerville.

A 33-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Friday for suspicion of gross misdemeanor battery on a protected person and misdemeanor charges of resisting an officer, domestic battery second offense and violation of a suspended sentence.
