Carson City woman jailed for hitting boyfriend, kicking deputy
A 33-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Friday for suspicion of gross misdemeanor battery on a protected person and misdemeanor charges of resisting an officer, domestic battery second offense and violation of a suspended sentence.
According to the arrest report, a deputy was dispatched to the 1400 block of North Carson Street for a domestic battery report. The officer arrived on scene and met with a male who stated his girlfriend hit him.
The victim said he was unsure what started the argument and that the woman, at one point, started yelling and using vulgar language at him.
The victim said the woman hit and scratched him in the face and bit him on the chest. A deputy observed a fresh scratch on the left side of the man’s face. He showed the officer a bruise on the left side of his chest where the woman had bit him. Photos were taken of the injuries.
The woman was not on scene at the time the deputy spoke with the victim. The deputy was informed the suspect is usually found during Ladies Night at a local casino. The deputy went to the location but was unable to find her, the report states.
The deputy informed security to keep an eye out for the suspect and to contact the sheriff’s office if she appeared. It was also learned the woman had a warrant out for her arrest from the Department of Alternative Sentencing for violation of a suspended sentence.
Later, a security officer informed dispatch the woman was at the casino and that she was being combative with them. Deputies arrived and observed the woman kicking and yelling vulgar language.
The woman was escorted to a patrol vehicle where she kicked the officer in the back of his left leg. Then, again, going off with the vulgar language.
The suspect then kicked the back doors of the patrol vehicle. She was uncooperative, swearing and combative during transport to Carson City jail. She was placed in a padded cell in the booking area. Deputies learned she had a domestic battery conviction in 2014. Bail: $11,049.
