Carson City jail bookings: Arrests made for battery on a deputy, providing false information, DUI

A 27-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday for felony suspicion of providing false identification to avoid prosecution, two misdemeanor probation violations, basic speeding, driving without driver’s license and no proof of insurance, a sheriff's deputy said.

According to the arrest report, a Carson City Sheriff’s Office deputy made a traffic stop near the intersection of Saliman Road And Seeley Loop on Kristell Tenorio-Ramero for allegedly speeding in an active school zone, traveling 29 mph in the 15 mph zone.

The woman said she did not have her driver’s license with her and verbally identified herself. It was later confirmed when dispatch provided the deputy with a photograph that the identity given was not accurate. Tenorio-Romero did not have proof of insurance for the vehicle and later admitted that she had given false information.

Dispatch informed the arresting deputy that Tenorio-Ramero was on Alternative Sentencing and did not have a valid driver’s license, the arrest report states. She was booked at 8:49 a.m. Total bail: $12,121.

In other arrests:
— A 25-year-old jail inmate, Alisha Kingsley, was booked Tuesday, 3:37 p.m., for felony battery by prisoner on deputy.

According to the arrest report, it took three deputies to get her under control and restrained after she had become violent, hitting one deputy in the groin area. Bail: $20,000.

— A 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 1:55 a.m., in the 2000 block of Viking Way for misdemeanor driving under the influence first offense and misdemeanor hit-and-run.

According to the arrest report, a CCSO deputy responded to the 3700 block of East Nye Lane where the reporting party stated a vehicle had crashed and rolled onto a fence when the driver then exited the vehicle and left westbound on foot.

Carson City Dispatch then received a report from the 2000 block of Viking Way that the driver was at this location and stating that he had just rolled his car, the arrest report states.

Deputies observed blood running from his nose and on his jacket. He spoke with heavily slurred speech and frequently rambled while emitting the smell of alcohol from his breath and person, a CCSO deputy said.

The man was transported to the Carson City Detention Center where he submitted to standard field sobriety tests and also submitted to blood draw. The report states that he showed signs and symptoms of being under the influence. Total bail: $1,774.

— A 57-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 2:42 a.m., near the intersection of E. William and Humboldt streets for misdemeanor driving under the influence first offense, failure to maintain lane and basic speeding.

According to the arrest report, the man’s vehicle was observed crossing the white line multiple times, failing to maintain its lane while following directly behind him, the CCSO deputy said. The deputy continued to follow the vehicle and paced it traveling at approximately 35 mph in the posted 25 mph zone.

Upon making the traffic stop and contact with the driver, the CCSO deputy said they could immediately smell an odor of alcohol coming from inside the vehicle, the driver’s eyes appeared to be bloodshot and watery and his speech was slow and slurred, the report states.

The driver admitted to having “had a few beers,” and agreed to field sobriety tests, and provided a preliminary breath test with a result of 0.181 percent BAC, the arrest report states.

The deputy states that at the Carson City Jail, the suspect did not provide a sufficient evidentiary breath sample and then refused to provide any further samples. The deputy provided an affidavit and requested a seizure order that was granted by a judge over the phone. Total bail: $1,316.

— A 23-year-old Carson City man end arrested Monday, 9:11 p.m., near the intersection of North Roop and North Stewart streets for misdemeanor driving under the influence first offense, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage and open container.

A Carson City Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to the area for a report of an accident where a vehicle was observed having gone over the curb and through a fence. A street lamp was also knocked down and in the roadway, the arrest report states.

The deputy was advised by a witness that the driver exited the vehicle and ran away from the crash. The witness said he chased the suspect down and made him walk back to the accident scene.

According to the arrest report, the suspect was observed by the deputy and had red, watery eyes. According to the deputy, before he could say anything the suspect said, “I f***ed up. I am drunk,” the arrest report states.

The suspect submitted to field sobriety tests and gave a preliminary breath test that resulted in 0.201 percent BAC. Open alcohol containers were located inside the vehicle. Total bail: $2,466.

— A 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 6:54 p.m., in the 3700 block of S. Carson St. for misdemeanor domestic battery.

— A 34-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 9:18 a.m., in the 1000 block of N. Edmonds Dr. for misdemeanor trespassing.

The subject was sitting by the restroom of a casino and was sleeping, the arrest report states. A manager approached the man and asked him to leave. The reporting party states he refused to leave and appeared to have fallen back to sleep.

A Carson City Sheriff’s Office deputy made contact with the man and reports that he was picking at his face and was somewhat incoherent. The deputy states the man appeared to be on an unknown type of controlled substance based on personal observation. Bail: $242.

— A 63-year-old Dayton man was arrested Wednesday, 1:05 a.m., near the intersection of E. Robinson and N. Stewart St. for misdemeanor violation of bail conditions.

A CCSO deputy observed a vehicle with no license plates traveling on Robinson Street and followed it into a parking where the deputy conducted a traffic stop, the arrest report states.

The driver exited the vehicle and the deputy ordered him to get back inside. The suspect yelled, “What the f*** do you want?” The report states the driver was upset regarding the fact that he had just been released from the Carson City Jail.

According to the arrest report, the man admitted to having one beer, and dispatch alerted the deputy of the Department of Alternative Sentencing’s “no drinking” clause placed upon the suspect.

The suspect provided a preliminary breath test that resulted in 0.031 percent BAC and at the request of DAS he was placed under arrest. Bail: $3,000 cash.

— A 37-year-old Gardnerville man was arrested Tuesday, 11:30 p.m., upon transport from Douglas County to Carson City Sheriff Detention Facility. The man was arrested on a Carson City Justice Court warrant for violation of a suspended sentence. Bail: $1,000 cash.

— A 41-year-old Reno man was arrested Wednesday, 2:15 a.m., for misdemeanor failure to appear. The man was transported from Washoe County for the confirmed warrant from the Carson City Justine Court. Bail: $3,000 cash.

— A 45-year-old Reno man was arrested Wednesday, 2:15 a.m., for a confirmed misdemeanor warrant out of Carson City Justice Court for violation of extended order for protection against domestic violence. The man was transported to the Carson City Detention Facility from Washoe County. Bail: $5,000.

— A 58-year-old transient man was arrested Tuesday, 8:40 a.m., in the 1800 block of E. Long St. on a contempt of court warrant.

A Carson City Sheriff’s Office deputy was dispatched to E. Long St. on report of an unwanted person. Upon contact, dispatch advised he had a confirmed contempt of court warrant out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $345.

— A female Carson City Jail inmate was arrested Tuesday, 7 p.m., for a failure to appear warrant issued by Carson City Justine Court. Bail: $250.

— A 28-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 9:48 p.m., after turning himself in to the Carson City Sheriff’s Office on an active confirmed Carson Township warrant for violation of bail conditions with a $3,000 cash bail.

— A 46-year-old transient was arrested early Tuesday, 12:47 a.m. in the 500 block of East Long Street for misdemeanor domestic battery and being an ex-felon failing to registered. Bail: $3,379.

— A 40-year-old transient was arrested Monday in the 700 block of Fleischmann Way on outside agency warrants in Elko County. Bail: $5,500.

UPDATE 6 p.m.: Courtesy of the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office: On May 3, 2024 at approximately 1430 hours, Lyon County Sheriff’s Deputies responded along with Central Lyon County, Carson City and Storey County Fire personnel to the area of 34 Newman Ln. for a report of motorhome on fire. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the fire had spread and multiple other abandoned vehicles caught fire as well. No one was hurt or injured during the incident. The incident is currently under investigation, which is being conducted by the Nevada State Fire Marshall’s Division.

UPDATE 2:38 p.m.: Firefighters from Storey are also now responding.

UPDATE 2:33 p.m.: Multiple vehicles on the property are engulfed in flame.

Around 2:15 p.m. a fire was reported at 34 Newman Lane in Mound House.

Firefighters from Carson City and Lyon County are enroute to the scene.

UPDATE 1:20 p.m.: According to Sheriff Ken Furlong, a student reported they saw a weapon. The incident was investigated and there was no weapon found. The lockdown has now been lifted and students are leaving the school.

UPDATE 1:15 p.m.: Update 05-03-24 at 1:15 p.m.
One student has reported an alleged weapon sighting. It has not been corroborated, but school officials and the sheriff’s office are investigating out an abundance of caution.

UPDATE 12:50 p.m.: The following update was provided by the district:

Carson High School was put on lockdown this afternoon around 12:15 p.m. No person was injured. There is an active situation being investigated in cooperation with the Carson City Sheriff’s Office. We will provide more information as it becomes known. The school is secure. Do not go to the school. No entrances will be permitted at time. The district will provide updates every 30 minutes. Expect the next update at 1:15 p.m.

Carson High School is currently on a lockdown as of 12:40 p.m. Friday, but there has been no incident reported according to Sheriff Ken Furlong.
