This Saturday, June 10, the Carriage Square Neighborhood in Carson City is holding its annual Neighborhood Garage Sale. The hours for participating houses are from 8:00 am to 2:00 or 3:00 pm.

Looking for some great deals on pet items? We’ve got you covered! Nevada Humane Society has tons of great items for your furry friends at our Carson City yard sale happening June 18. We can help you find a bargain on much needed pet items.

The yard sale is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Carson City Shelter, 549 Airport Road, Carson City.

We have a new skateboard shop here in the village, and a few of our finest teens hang out there to swap stories and Tony Hawk trading cards. Today, as I was passing by, one of them shouted, "Mark Twain!"

So I pulled on my mask and wandered over, bearing in mind that these kids have already had to endure the aftermath of 9-11, the 2008 recession and a pandemic.

Last Saturday our grandkids sold Lemonade at our garage sale. We talked before hand about donating the money they made. I told them about the Lyon County Sheriff Department K-9 program and they agreed they wanted to donate to them as a way to support our law enforcement.

The Sierra-Tahoe Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve Association is now accepting donations of items for their Annual Rummage Sale, to be held September 26,27, 2020. The proceeds from this event provides funding for the many service projects the organization offers throughout the year.

Heading into the weekend, there’s a mountain of jam-packed activities over the next three days. Events include the 100th annual Candy Dance in Genoa, the Carson City Community Center Garage Sale, free walks at Nevada State Parks, Virginia City’s Street Vibrations Fall Rally, the 31st annual All-Breed Dog Shows, The Beatles Flashback tribute band concert and much more!

Deal hunters and bargain shoppers will be there, and now Carson City organizers want to secure those sellers ahead of time before the big Saturday event later this month.

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region to help the next three days breeze by, including the Jazz and Beyond Music Festival, Carson City Library’s End of Summer Learning Challenge, history talks at Mormon Station Park, train rides in Virginia City, a sushi cooking class at Sierra Chef on Sunday and more!

Carson City Native and Newcomers Club will host a fundraising garage sale to benefit the blind and CHS School scholarships.

A to Zen has been a Carson City staple for the past decade. While they’re mostly known for their assortment of vintage finds, their large record and book collection, handmade gifts, costumes, and what may be the largest collection of knick-knacks in Carson City, they’ve also been engaging in community activities for years.

Saturday is recognized nationwide as National Ghost Hunting Day as well as Nevada Public Lands Day statewide. Odd as it may seem, the two can be combined at haunts around Nevada.

We've cleaned out our house and garage, as well as a storage unit, to hold this garage sale. Lots and lots of items, including books, some furniture, shop vac, small-business items, folding tables, bikes, tent trailer, and more.

The event was hosted by the Carson City Department of Parks, Recreation and Open Space.

Carson City Parks, Recreation and Open Space will host its second annual Community Garage Sale on Sept. 22, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

It’s going to be a chili weekend, and that has nothing to do with the weather. The annual Chili on the Comstock Competition takes over the tiny town of Virginia City, including a saloon crawl Saturday and the hilarious ‘Fun with the Runs’ 5K. A momentous congratulations goes out to the students who voluntarily and competitively placed in the 2017 Carson City School Board Sponsored American Citizen Essay Contest with first place at the high school level going to CHS 9th grade Honors English student Marissa Messmann, second place to CHS 12th grade College Readiness Senior English student Jessica Preston, and third place going to 9th grade Honors English student Matteas Klatt.

The Sierra-Tahoe Fleet Reserve Association #137 and Auxiliary is hosting it's annual rummage sale to raise money for Veterans! Members, families and friends have donated quality items..furniture, kitchenware, Christmas Decorations and we have added a (Man Cave) a true "Garage Sale" with power tools, woodworking equipment/tools and garden tools with everything in between.

Items are not priced, instead buyers are asked to donate the amount that the item is worth, taking into consideration that ALL PROCEEDS BENEFIT VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES.

The first-ever Carson City Community Garage Sale was held Saturday throughout the Nevada state capital, a community-wide event organized by the Carson City Department of Parks, Recreation and Open Space.

One might think that the end of summer means that the fun times are over: they would be wrong. This list of happenings in the Carson City area isn’t getting any shorter. The annual Genoa Candy Dance is a favorite among locals and visitors alike, and this weekend welcomes the first ever Silver State Arts Festival at Fuji Park, as well. The first ever Community Garage Sale at the Community Center offers one-stop bargain hunting. Swing into the season at the monthly dance party hosted by the High Sierra Swing Dance Club.

The Carson City Historical Society's second and last flea market yard sale of the summer will be this Saturday at the Foreman-Roberts House Museum park.

Carson City Parks, Recreation and Open Space will host its first Community Garage Sale on Sept. 23, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. All are invited to participate as either a buyer or a seller.
