Kids have lemonade stand to benefit Lyon County Sheriff K9 program
Last Saturday our grandkids sold Lemonade at our garage sale. We talked before hand about donating the money they made. I told them about the Lyon County Sheriff Department K-9 program and they agreed they wanted to donate to them as a way to support our law enforcement.
The kids sold a lot of lemonade and cucumber water. They told each customer what the money was going for and people were very generous.
On Thursday, LCSO Detective Tripp came by the house with his K9 partner, Karma. The kids presented him with $83.77!
They were able to meet Karma and Detective Tripp gave them each a stuffed "Karma" dog and a poker chip with her picture on it.
I was so proud of them and their giving spirit!
