A new week begins and brings us one day closer to warm weather. Karaoke night at the Fox Brewpub is an all-ages, family-friendly event, but all-day happy hour inside the Fox’ Den is meant just for the adults. Local theatre group, the Proscenium Players, have a few great productions coming these next few months; their monthly meeting is this evening at the Brewery Arts Center and anyone interested in theater or wanting to get involved is welcome to attend. New Carson City Chapter of the Mule Deer Foundation hosts first banquet at Carson Nugget

A Carson City Chapter of the Mule Deer Foundation has been started. The Mule Deer Foundation is a conservation organization headquartered in Salt Lake City with local chapters throughout the western states. Volunteers and the money we raise, have been used for re-seeding fire areas, fixing or installing water guzzlers in desert areas, removal of old fencing that may impede migration or entangle animals.

Songwriter and cowboy Mike Beck will appear in concert on April 29th at the Silver City School House in Silver City. The concert is a benefit for the Silver City School House and arts events held there.

Mike Beck is asolo artist who is a regularly featured performer at The National Cowboy Poetry and Music Gathering in Elko. He has cowboyed on some of central Nevada's largest cattle ranches.
