The various teams’ performances were captured on video and sent to the University for judging.
Senator Square: Carson High School's Carneta yearbook staff have successful year

At the end of the week before Spring Break, at 8:30 p.m., the final pages were submitted, and the book was officially finished. After months of interviewing, photographing, and editing, the book is currently being printed by Walsworth Publishing Co., in Marceline, Kansas.
Vietnam Veterans honored at Carson City ceremony in Mills Park

The ceremony was presented by the Carson Area Chapter 388 of the Vietnam Veterans of America.
"Today we share a few moments with our fellow veterans, family and friends to reflect on what that war meant and what it means to us today,” said Carson City Mayor Bob Crowell.

This session marks the first time in U.S. history that state has elected a female-majority legislature after Rochelle Thuy Nguyen and Beatrice Angela Duran were appointed to two open seats in Las Vegas, bringing the total seats held by women to 33 out of 63.

The salon will provide free haircuts for veterans, activity duty and first responders. Proceeds to benefit Red, White and Blue Dog Tags.
The Saturday, Nov. 3 event is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a 9 a.m. grand opening ceremony with Color Guard. Shelby Jackson will perform the National Anthem.

Alum Presents Refugee information
CHS alum, Kaitlin Brush (class of 2004), presented to social studies classes this past month. Her informational presentation focused on the definition of refugees, migrants, and internally displaced persons, and the current refugee crisis in the Middle East and Europe and how different European countries are working to address the growing number of refugees.

Carson City to remember Sept. 11 attacks in ceremony Friday at Mills Park
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Thu, 09/10/2015 - 10:16amA memorial service to remember the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks will be held at Mills Parks Friday beginning at 8:30 a.m. The service is at the World Trade Center Steel I Beam located at the eastern edge of Mills Park in Carson City.
The beam was given to Carson City by the Port Authority of New York to mark that fateful day. The public is invited.
The Carson City Airport Hosts Annual Open House displaying aircrafts and other activities

Planes will take to the skies through 4 p.m. The event is free and guests can can participate in interactive activities and magnificent displays the open house offers.
