Eyes on Carson City: Marine Corps League honors service of American Indians
Members of the Carson City Marine Corps League held a ceremony at the Stewart Indian School Cemetery along Clear Creek Road Monday morning to honor the service and sacrifices of American Indians.
The Carson High Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps color guard opened the ceremony, which included the firing of a marine cannon in salute.
A U.S. Navy bagpiper also played "Amazing Grace" and "The Halls of Montezuma," the U.S. Marine Corps march song.
