Come join The Carson City Thursday Night Cruisers every Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 pm through July 28, 2022. Bring your special car or just come to enjoy the show. Entry and admission are free.

Saturday, August 14, at 10:00 am, the Silver State Model T Ford Club will present “The Car That Changed the World” at the Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park.

There wasn't an official Nevada Day parade in the state capital this year, but Western Nevada College's "Reverse Parade" in Carson City brought some festivities on Saturday.

Contrary to popular belief, not all new residents relocating to Carson City come from that huge state just west of us. Some travel as far as 2,888 miles to create new beginnings in a community they only passed through on their way to a Yosemite.

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region over the next three days. Events include the Rockabilly Riot car show, Dayton Valley Days, a pancreatic cancer awareness walk at Silver Oak Golf Course, the annual Pooch Plunge at the Carson Aquatic Facility, horse endurance races in Virginia City, history talks at Mormon Station Park and much more!

Coming up on the final stretch of the work week, Thursday, Sept. 19, 2019 is shaping up to be eventful around the capital city area, including a morning Tahoe Rim Trail hike hosted by Muscle Powered, a meeting of the Carson City Board of Supervisors, a Status of Women in Nevada meeting at the Carson Nugget, activities at the library including the first in a series of Job Seeking With Google workshops, plus the first of the three-day Rockabilly Riot car show at Mills Park and more. Hot rods, rat rods, souped up trucks and the men and women who made them will be making their way into the capital city this week for the annual Rockabilly Riot which begins Thursday and runs through Saturday at Mills Park.

Events include the Silver State Art Festival at Fuji Park, suicide awareness walks in Carson City, a Celtic faire at Dangberg Home Ranch, the ninth annual Edible Pedal bike ride at Bowers Mansion, train rides in Virginia City and much more!

Classic cars of all makes and models filled Fuji Park Saturday during the sixth annual Send a Scout to Camp Car Show in Carson City.

Vintage cars and trucks lined up alongside each other while participants strolled around the park and soaked in the warm summer sun.

Combining the best of the Carson City Jazz and Beyond Music Festival and bringing in the Hot August Nights theme that will include a sock hop and classic cars, Silver Oak Golf has rolled out the green carpet by becoming one of the venues for the annual Carson City jazz festival.

The first Hot August Nights began on Aug. 1, 1986 at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, and Virginia City brought a sense of nostalgia back to the historic mining town.

Heading into a jam-packed weekend of events around the Carson City region, there's a bevy of activities Friday to get your started. Later there's a cruise night gathering at Carson Mall to benefit Safe Grad Night, an Italian dinner fundraiser at the Governor's Mansion to benefit Carson City's homeless, live music at Living the Good Life and A to Zen, laughs at the Carson Comedy Club, and much more. Carson Mall has chosen Carson High Safe Grad Booster as their charity organization for their monthly Cruise Night at the Carson Mall. Event is held at the Carson Mall on Friday Night May 31st.

Virginia City is known for two things: mining history and quirky, off-the-wall events. In 2019, those two things are joined together with the announcement of the historic Nevada town’s annual special events lineup and online ticket sales.

Cars and burgers were the draw Saturday at the Max Casino parking lot in Carson City, where law enforcement officers with the Nevada Department of Corrections fed hungry car enthusiasts at the second annual Cops and Burgers fundraiser for Special Olympics Nevada.

Carson High School in Carson City will be "A Place to Shine" this Saturday at the third annual Show and Shine Car Show, which raises money for scholarships aimed at providing students and their families the funds they need to participate in extracurricular activities.

Join law enforcement around the capital city area for the Carson City Cops and Burgers Show-n-Shine on Saturday, Sept. 8 at Max Casino to benefit Special Olympics of Nevada.

Let’s get August off to a good start. The first Saturday of the month always plays host to the Downtown Carson City Wine Walk, but with the Jazz and Beyond Musical Festival in full swing, you’ll have even more reasons to meander around downtown. More than 6,000 vehicles will call the streets of Northern Nevada home for the 32nd Annual Hot August Nights festival. The 10-day celebration commences in the historic mining town of Virginia City this Friday and Saturday, Aug. 3-4.
