CARSON CITY — With intersection improvements already scheduled for coming years at two Mt. Rose Highway intersections, the Nevada Department of Transportation will launch a virtual public meeting on Jan. 26 to gather public feedback on corridor planning to define future traffic improvements to the lower segment of the highway.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called Sunday morning to a crash involving two vehicles near the intersection of Stewart and Washington Street.

Gusty winds, especially in the Sierra, are expected Monday and Tuesday along with a cooling trend happening this week and the potential for snow by the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
