Carson City Pizza Factory partners with No Kid Hungry campaign in September

The good news is this problem has a solution. Through the month of September the Pizza Factory in Carson City will donate $1 of every special extra-large pizza to the No Kid Hungry campaign.
Carson City Feds Feed Families brings in 2,722 pounds of food for local pantries

All donations benefitted families and individuals served by the Ron Wood Family Resource Center and Friends In Service Helping, also known as FISH.

WNC to Start New School Year Tobacco Free

When students arrive for the fall semester on Monday, Aug. 28, WNC’s three campuses will be tobacco-free. WNC actually became tobacco free in advance of the semester, banning tobacco products as of Monday.

Racers and their families can pick up collection envelopes and begin collecting donations from friends, relatives, neighbors and businesses in the community. Helping others is one of the finest things anyone can ever do in life. Donations raised will go to help fight and bring to an end a dreadful disease that affects thousands of people each year.
