Proscenium Players, Inc. brings a witty buffet of One Acts this weekend to the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall.
Proscenium Players, Inc., the second oldest continuously-operating theater company in Nevada will present a series of humorous One Act plays this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The themes of the Acts are as varied as:

Looking for a performance by local musicians and some jazz? This is the show for you. Musicians Mark Sexton, Alex Korostinsky and Aaron Chiazza will be performing at the Brewery Arts Center Thursday, June 18 in the MHJ/Black Box Theater.

Vintage Rose is a live band tribute honoring the vision, passion and power of the women of classic rock. Hear more than 20 top hits by five of the most talented and electric female singers of all time including Janis Joplin, Blondie, Ann Wilson of Heart, Joan Jett and Pat Benatar. The show is Saturday, June 27, at the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City.

Not just your standard cover show, Vintage Rose combines stunning costumes with the acting and singing prowess of Natalie Jones and a live rock band for a show that will inspire and entertain.

When you realize your love life is being orchestrated by a terrible screenwriter, how do you stop the ride and get off? How does a hapless bystander respond when called upon by a deranged actress to give the brush off to her recent ex?

Music fills the 3 halls of the Brewery Arts Center every week, but this week will bring the biggest musical events in recent BAC history. Great original live music will fill the Performance Hall Thursday and Friday as nationally touring bands, Southern Drawl Band and Peter Joseph Burtt and The King Tide come to Carson City for the first time.

The Brewery Arts Center, Carson City’s premiere epicenter for the arts since 1975, will present Autoharp Master, Singer and Storyteller Bryan Bowers on Saturday night, May 2 in the Maize Harris Jesse Black Box Theater.

From his rather unglamorous beginning as a street singer, Bryan Bowers has become a major artist on the traditional music circuit. He has redefined the autoharp and is also well known as a singer-songwriter. Bryan has a dynamic outgoing personality and an uncanny ability to enchant a crowd in practically any situation.

The Brewery Arts Center, Carson City’s premiere epicenter for the arts since 1975, in partnership with Western Nevada College will present George Sakellariou on Thursday night, April 2 in the Performance Hall. George Sakellariou began playing the guitar at an early age in Athens, Greece, and received formal training at the esteemed Conservatory of Music in Athens.

Tickets are still available for an evening of "Comic Relief" with local comedienne, Kat Simmons at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 25 at the Brewery Arts Center, 449 W. King Street, Carson City.

The event hosted by and is a fundraiser for RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program). Tickets are $30 each and are available at the RSVP office, the Artisan store at the Brewery Arts Center and online at BreweryArts.org.

Each ticket includes complimentary appetizers from Foodies Bystro beginning at 5:30 pm.

Sharing his music has always been an objective for classic guitarist George Sakellariou. During a rare Northern Nevada appearance last year, Sakellariou presented a variety of new and old pieces, leading to an April 2 return engagement presented by Western Nevada College’s Wildcat Productions at the Brewery Arts Center.

Proceeds from the 7 p.m. concert will assist in creating a new scholarship for Wildcat Productions. Sakellariou, 70, has said that a key to entertaining for so long is to remain inspired.

The Brewery Arts Center, Carson City’s premiere epicenter for the arts since 1976, will present Men of Worth on Friday night, March 13 in the Black Box Theater. Men of Worth was formed in 1986 by Scotsman Donnie Macdonald and Irishman James Keigher who came together to perform Irish and Scottish folk music, combining traditional and contemporary styles.

Retired Senior Volunteer Program, also known as RSVP, is hosting an evening of "Comic Relief" with local comedienne, Kat Simmons on Wednesday, March 25 at the Brewery Arts Center, 449 W. King Street, Carson City.

The Jug Stompers performing Saturday at Brewery Arts Center are Mark Kuniya, Natalie Nielson, and Krista Jenkins. They have been raising a ruckus in the Reno-Tahoe area for almost ten years with an intoxicating blend of primitive blues, ragtime, and country and western music of the late 1920s and early 1930s.

The Brewery Arts Center's annual fundraiser, Winter, Wine, Spirits, and All That Jazz, is kicking it up a notch this year with more than 25 distilleries and wineries, music, performances and more and is seeking community support through sponsorships. The Brewery Arts Center’s Nevada Song Composer Series presents Colin Ross in the Performance Hall, Carson City, Friday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m.

From the western opera house compositions of the 1860s to the showroom nights of modern times, Nevada has enjoyed a rich history of American music and original song written in heartfelt, powerful and elegant American styles.

Three theater productions will begin this weekend in Carson City. BRÜKA Theater presents "NV 150 – Nevada’s Great History in 50 Minutes"; Wildhorse Children's Theater presents "Dr. Doolittle, Jr." and Western Nevada Musical Theater Company waltzes in with "My Fair Lady."
