Instructors from Mexico receiving Mechatronics training at WNC

Nevada System of Higher Education’s new and unique partnership with higher education institutions in the state of Tamaulipas, Mexico, began in earnest this week as a group of instructors visit WNC to participate in the accelerated Siemens Mechatronics certification program.

This relaxing, six-week qigong series promotes balance and renewal, perfect for this holiday season. Healing Qigong Part 1 consists of ten easy movements with an emphasis on gathering “chi” from the universe and learning how to move energy throughout the body.
The movements will be broken down step by step and each class in the series will build upon the previous one.

Carson City man arrested for disorderly conduct after sleeping outside convenience store
Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Fri, 10/11/2019 - 8:58amA 28-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 3700 block of N. Carson Street Thursday night for disorderly conduct and a warrant out of Carson City Justice Court.
According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched to a local convenience store for a report of an intoxicated subject sleeping outside the store on the sidewalk.
While enroute, a deputy on scene advised that the man as unconscious but breathing.

The laps will be done during the practice times (6-7 pm). You do not need to be a USABMX member to participate in this worthy cause. You do need to fill out a 1-day trial membership (free).

Nevada jobs were up in July, unemployment see slight increase

The state’s unemployment rate is at 4.1 percent, up 0.1 percent point from June, and down 0.4 percent compared to last July, according to the state's Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation’s economic report released Wednesday.

Carson City BMX Race for Life set for July 21

This race raises money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Additionally, keeping with Todd’s love for BMX, promoting this race where you do not have to be a USABMX member. So please join us on 21 July, with signups 9 to 10 a.m.. Cost is $10. If under 18, please bring a parent to sign forms.

Nevada jobs up in April, unemployment lowest in 13 years

And that is the case with Cafe at Adele's following the March 28 fire that swept through but was mostly contained to the laundry room area of the iconic Carson City restaurant that sits on the corner of North Carson and John Street.
