Carson City Pioneer High JAG students make holiday cards for senior center citizens
The Pioneer High School JAG (Jobs for America’s Graduates) program students have decided to spread some holiday cheer by making handmade holiday cards for residents of the senior center as a delightful service project this season.
“We did this Monday and Tuesday of this week to give back to the community,” said JAG teacher Chyanne Corley. “We just wanted to spread holiday spirit.”
One of Corley’s students, Ryan Freitas, said, “I really appreciated this effort because I know how lonely the holidays can be for some people, and these cards will allow anyone and everyone to feel love during the holidays. That despite whether or not you have family to share them with, holidays are still worth celebrating.”
