Experience Unsilent Night
— The second event of the weekend takes place on Sunday, Dec. 19 at 5:30 p.m. with Unsilent Night.
Unsilent Night is an original composition by Phil Kline, written specifically to be heard outdoors in the month of December. It takes the form of a street promenade in which the audience becomes the performer.
Each participant gets one of four tracks of music in the form of a Mp3. Together all four tracks comprise Unsilent Night. The fact that the participants play different "parts" simultaneously helps create the special sound of the piece.
Participants carry boomboxes, or anything that amplifies music, and simultaneously start playing the music.
They then walk a carefully chosen route through their city’s streets, creating a unique mobile sound sculpture which is different from every listener's perspective.

Joyful Noise
Following Unsilent Night will be the 20th Annual Holiday Show of Joyful Noise held Sunday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m.
Experience “down-home” comfort and joy with these talented performers. According to the Brewery Arts Center, aside from some heartfelt traditional songs, there are some truly magical musical sounds, with this year’s featured local musicians, Tommy Stiles and Mark McKinnon.
Local vocalist Cherie and keyboardist John Shipley are excited to return to the Brewery Arts Center and share the magic of the season in the Performance Hall. As always, the harmonious 6 piece Joyful Noise Chorus highlights this family show and of course, Mark Ashworth delights with a few novelty classics.
