Three Northern Nevada Correctional Center inmates in Carson City die over weekend
Three inmates died over the weekend at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City, the Nevada Department of Corrections reported Monday. The cases are unrelated and there is no evidence of foul play in any of the deaths, said Brooke Santina, public information officer.
On Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at approximately 6:37 p.m., Inmate Kenneth Rose, 63, died in the Regional Medical Facility at Carson City's NNCC. Rose was a Clark County commit serving life with the possibility of parole for Habitual Criminal. Rose arrived at the NDOC on Aug. 26, 2002. The Carson City Sheriff’s Office coroner responded. An autopsy will be scheduled. Family has been notified.
On Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018, at approximately 5:46 p.m., Inmate Dustin Wattenberg, 32, died at Northern Nevada Correctional Center. He was committed from Clark County on Feb. 17, 2015 and was serving a sentence of 49 to 150 months for conspiracy to commit a violent crime, robbery and use of a deadly weapon enhancement. He was found unresponsive in his cell and life-saving measures were immediately initiated by the responding officers and medical staff. EMT’s were called and were unsuccessful at reviving him. Carson City Sheriff’s Office Coroner responded. An autopsy will be scheduled. Next of kin has been notified.
Also on Sunday at approximately 11:27 p.m., Inmate Damian Hall, 47, died in the Northern Nevada Correctional Center Hospice Dorm. Hall was a Washoe County commit serving 10 years to Life for sexual assault, 48-120 months for Battery, 13-60 months for conspiracy to commit robbery, 96-240 months for use of deadly weapon enhancement (x2). Hall arrived at the NDOC on April 27, 2011. The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Coroner responded. An autopsy will be scheduled. Family has been notified.
