Danny Pacheco was taken into custody at 8:56 p.m. following an investigation. According to the booking report, deputies were dispatched to a 6th Street residence for a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. The reporting party told dispatch the man had held a knife to her.

Deputies learned the parties were in different rooms, with the woman locking herself in the bathroom. Both were asked to step out of the residence where officers interviewed the victim and suspect.

The man ultimately told the deputy he grabbed two knives from the kitchen and banged them together during the argument, the report states. The deputy asked where he put the knives. The man said he put them back in the kitchen. The officer told the man they had already looked in the kitchen for the knives and they were not there. The man eventually told the officer he put the knives in the laundry room in a black and yellow tub, according to the report.

Officers went back into the residence and went to where the man said the knives were. A deputy located the knives where the man said they would be. The deputy informed the man he was under arrest for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Bail: $20,000.
