Man alive after reportedly shot in the head
A man was reportedly found shot in the head this morning at around 8 a.m. in the area of Boyle and Oneida streets on Washoe Tribal land in Carson City.
Authorities are investigating and Washoe Tribal Police have been called to the scene. The wounded man was said to be still alive and Care Flight was responding to the intersection of Boyle and West Washoe streets, which is about two blocks away from Curry Street where Nevada Day parade floats are gathering.
Initial reports were that the incident was a possible suicide attempt but authorities searched for and detained a man at 8:15 a.m. It is unknown if the man has been arrested or whether he was somehow involved.
Traffic control is in place on Boyle south of Oneida for Care Flight, which was said to be landing at around 8:30 a.m.
