Carson City Salvation Army recruiting volunteers through the holiday season
The Salvation Army is currently recruiting volunteers to help throughout the holidays. The Salvation Army in Carson City is expecting to serve more than 5,000 people this coming holiday season.
This is a daunting task and they need volunteers from the community to help. Individuals can volunteer as well as families, church groups, service clubs, office staff, school groups, etc. There is an application and some volunteer assignments require background checks.
If you would like to volunteer this season registering families for services, making food baskets, organizing the toy shop, bell ringing or organizing a food drive or toy drive please call Mia Sandoval, the Volunteer Coordinator for the Carson City Salvation Army at 775-887-9120.
The Salvation Army of Carson City provides Services to Carson City, Dayton, and Douglas County for more than 18,000 people each year helping with school supplies, emergency food and lodging, utilities, holiday assistance, Summer Day Camp, Before School Care, and Summer Camp.
