Bonaldi Aesthetics Med Spa opens in Carson City; offers skin care, injections, lasers and more

Carson City residents who love a little “me time” will rejoice with the opening of the Bonaldi Aesthetics Med Spa at 1910 E. College Parkway next to Bella Salon.

The location is no coincidence, said owner Tierra Bonaldi, as she is family members with the owner of Bella Salon and the two businesses will work in tandem to offer everything a self-care enthusiast might need.

“We’re already working on joint promotions for Botox and Blowdries or something similar,” Bonaldi said.

Bonaldi is not new to the Med Spa scene, and the Carson City location is an extension of the Bonaldi Aesthetics Plastic Surgery and Med Spa in Reno.

While some might be nervous about the idea of Med Spa services such as injectables or lasers, Bonaldi said it’s all about education.

“We have so many baby steps into the Med Spa experience,” Bonaldi said. “We have so many medical grade skin care options that don’t include injectables, and we have very gentle lasers to start out if people are interested in laser treatments.”

The science behind many treatments has evolved exponentially in the last few decades, especially in the realm of injectables, lasers and plastic surgery, but the real boom to the industry had an unlikely ally: COVID-19.

“COVID was a big driver for both surgical and non-surgical procedures,” Bonaldi said. “It’s called the Zoom effect, because people were looking at themselves more and more on camera so in 2021 the industry exploded.”

Since that time, Med Spa services have expanded both locally and across the world. Currently, the Med Spa industry is a $16 billion industry and is projected to grow to $50 billion by 2030.

“We see the growth and demand, and we noticed a lack of these services in the Carson Valley,” Bonaldi said. “We’re so happy to be here, we already feel like we’re at home and we want to integrate into the community and help support local businesses.”

Services offered
There are a number of services offered by Bonaldi Aesthetics Med Spa, including a variety of skin, hair and body treatments.

Skincare treatments include facials, microneedling, chemical peels, dermaplaning, HydraFacials and the popular Diamond Glow Facial, which is a non-invasive procedure that involves exfoliating the skin with a diamond-tipped pad and infusing a customized serum into the skin, which Medical Aesthetician Kimberly Doucette recommends for anyone new to the Med Spa experience.

There are a number of laser treatments offered including laser hair reduction, RF Microneedling, skin color and tone corrections, and more.

Injectables include Botox, Juvéderm and Kybella and are fully customized based on the individual’s needs whether for aesthetics, migraines, muscle relaxation and more.

Hair restoration is offered in customized packages and treatments, and CoolSculpting will also soon be offered.

The spa also offers a variety of medical-grade skin care products that can be purchased over the counter for a number of treatments including lash thickeners, eye-lid tightening, medical-grade sunscreens, makeup, probiotic skin care treatments and more.

For anyone that has never experienced a Med Spa, Bonaldi said they are more than happy to walk the curious through what they do.

“Book a consult, come see us, and learn all about what we have to offer,” Bonaldi said. “There are some really nice gentle entry-level treatments we can offer for those who have never had a Med Spa experience. Everything we do is medical grade, and we’re big on education and safety.”

The Bonaldi Aesthetics Med Spa is now open Monday - Wednesday, and a grand opening with ribbon cutting will be coming soon. To learn more, stop by the Med Spa next to Bella Salon at 1910 E. College Parkway, call (775) 238-3051, or visit https://www.bonaldimd.com/.
