While we in Carson City are awaiting the beginning of our farmers market season, which this year will take place June through September at Mills Park, the farmers markets in Minden and Gardnerville have already begun.

The Minden Farmers Market takes place in downtown Minden every Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. along Esmerelda Ave., which is closed for the event.

On Monday night, Gov. Joe Lombardo declared a state of emergency due to flooding, mudslides, and other issues resulting from seasonal water runoff across northern Nevada.

Featured Artist shows by Rob Jennings-Teats and Ken Clarke are on display along with the NAA "Just the Right Size" Show presented now through June 16 @ the Gallery. Rob's paintings largely follow religious and spiritual themes and daily life from Southeast Asia and incorporate traditional styles from that region. Ken's paintings include many Nevada and desert landscapes as well animals and pets.
