Carson City Light After Dark event Saturday to benefit victims of domestic and sexual violence
Help victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in the Carson City community by signing up and joining Advocates to End Domestic Violence at its annual Light After Dark Walk and Run event this Saturday, 6 p.m. at Silver Oak Golf and Event Center in Carson City.
Warm-ups begin at 5:30 p.m. There will be solar lights, glow sticks, food, music, and more. The walk/run 5K/10K is an awareness event to show support for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Register online at Active.com here or in person at the Classy Seconds Thrift Store, 411 Hot Springs Road in Carson City.
— Adults - $35, $40 day of the event.
— Kids 17 and Under - $15, $20 day of the event.
— CHS Students and Faculty - $10, $15 day of the event.

Meanwhile, as a warm up to the event Advocates is asking people to show support for survivors of domestic violence by wearing purple on Thursday, Oct. 19.
