Prescription med roundup nets nearly 200 pounds of pills, 49 pounds of syringes
Partnership Carson City’s annual Prescription Drug Roundup on Saturday brought in 199 pounds of unused or expired prescription medication and 49 pounds of syringes, organizers said.
Drug roundups are held twice a year at all Save Mart stores and Smith’s in Carson City. Prescription drugs can also be dropped off daily, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Carson City Sheriff’s Office Administration building, 911 East Musser Street. At the sheriff’s office location, more than 300 pounds of drugs are dropped off annually.
