Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders hosts Town Hall at the Carson City Community Center Friday
Presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders visited Carson City Friday and hosted a Town Hall in the gymnasium of the Carson City Community Center.
The senator spoke on several topics including health care, Wall Street, the criminal justice system, and more.
He took questions from the crowd regarding their struggles with health care, including a Navy veteran who is suffering from Huntington’s Disease and recently lost his Tri-Net health coverage in Carson City.
Senator Sanders will host a “College for All” rally in Reno Friday evening at the University of Nevada Reno beginning at 5:45 p.m. with doors opening at 4:15 p.m. The rally will be held on the Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center Lawn, 1664 N Virginia St, Reno.
Information for the public: Doors open at 4:15pm. This event is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required, but an RSVP is encouraged. Entrance is provided on a first come, first served basis due to standing space. Parking is limited; attendees are encouraged to walk, bike, or carpool. Parking area on campus to be announced.
