Carson City emergency crews called to crash at junction of South Carson and Highway 50

UPDATE 8:44PM: The semi truck involved in the crash Thursday night near the intersection of South Carson Street and Highway 50 at Spooner Junction is upright, ready for tow but lanes are still blocked. The Nevada Highway Patrol asks motorists for patience and to give crews room to work.

Carson City Fire Department, sheriff's deputies and the Nevada Highway Patrol were called Thursday evening to a crash involving a semi near the intersection of South Carson Street and Highway 50 at Spooner Junction.
At least four vehicles are involved in the crash, according to dispatch. The semi involved was on its side. The northbound lane on Carson Street has been closed. There are reports via dispatch of injuries. Care Flight has not been ordered and the injured were being taken by ground ambulance to the hospital.
Northbound traffic is being diverted around the crash. Motorists can expect delays. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
