Vail Resorts offers pass deal that now includes Verbier, Switzerland

Vail Resorts, Inc. which has three ski resorts in the Lake Tahoe area, announced Thursday an unprecedented partnership with Verbier, Switzerland, that will enhance the already incredible value of Vail Resorts’ Epic Season Pass, providing three days of free access to the Verbier ski resort, including Les 4 Vallées, the largest ski area in Switzerland, for new and renewing 2012-2013 Epic Season Pass holders.

In addition to unlimited, unrestricted skiing and riding at eight world-class mountain resorts in the United States, Epic Pass holders will now have the opportunity to extend their winter to Europe and experience four additional premier mountain resorts including the illustrious Verbier resort, as well as Nendaz, Veysonnaz and Thyon, Switzerland. Ace Hardware is coming to Topsy Lane according to signage posted.

The popular hardware store chain, which has locations in both Douglas County as well as Reno, will be taking over the vacant Pier One.

Just before noon a fire was reported on BLM land in Brunswick Canyon.

According to Fire Chief Sean Slamon, it is a vegetation fire in a remote part of Brunswick Canyon.

At approximately 5:30 PM on June 26, 2024 the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Central Command Patrol Squad responded to the Lahontan State Park Ranger Station at Lake Lahontan for a report of an adult male subject who had been shot multiple times.
