Carson City man booked on warrant alleging sex crimes with a child
A 33-year-old Carson City man and a current jail inmate was served Thursday with a Douglas County warrant alleging multiple counts of sexual crimes with a child under the age of 14, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Ciro Camacho III, who is in jail on unrelated Carson City crimes, was served the warrant at 10:20 a.m. There are five counts alleging sexual assault of a child under the age of 14 and one felony count use of child under 14 in producing pornography or as a subject of sexual portrayal, according to the arrest report.
The warrant was issued Aug. 30, in the Ninth Judicial District Court in Douglas County. Bail: $1 million. He is awaiting extradition to Douglas County.
In other arrests:
— A 36-year-old Silver Springs man, Shawn Heldoorn, was arrested Thursday, 6:45 a.m. in the 1000 block of Mallory Way for suspicion of three counts assault with a deadly weapon, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched to the area in reference to a man threatening people with a shotgun. Deputies arrived on the scene and observed the man and the end of a shotgun on the ground leaning on the open front passenger door of a vehicle. A deputy gave verbal commands and the man was detained without incident.
Deputies made contact with four men who advised what had happen. Three of the men said the suspect racked the shotgun and aimed it at them as if he were going to shoot them. The three ran to a safe position away from Heldoorn and called 911.
Another witness who worked nearby heard yelling, walked outside and heard a shotgun being loaded and saw the three men leave the area where the 36-year-old Heldoorn was located.
Witnesses said the suspect was yelling at his father. When he was asked, several times, to leave the property, the suspect told them “I’m exercising my rights” and said he had a gun, the arrest report said.
Deputies found a black Remington shotgun. The breach of the shotgun was open and there were two live shotgun rounds on the dashboard of the vehicle, and rounds in the magazine of the gun. Heldoorn was taken to jail for suspicion of three counts assault with a deadly weapon.
At jail he was read his Miranda rights and admitted to pulling the shotgun out of his vehicle and loading the chamber with a live round to exercise his rights. He stated he put the shotgun into a low ready position and did not aim it at the three other men. He stated he would not have hurt anyone and that he just wanted to load his vehicle with his property, the arrest report states. Bail: $60,000.
— A 39-year-old Carson City man, Joshua Lee Irvine, was arrested Thursday, 6:45 p.m. in the 3300 block of Butti Way for felony suspicion, providing false identification and a misdemeanor warrant for petit larceny issued Aug. 17, 2017 out of Sparks Municipal Court. Bail: $5,640.
— A 41-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday, 5:21 p.m. in the 1900 block of North Carson Street for a misdemeanor failure to appear in traffic court warrant. Bail: $215.
— A 39-year-old Carson City man as arrested Thursday, 11:36 p.m. in the 2000 block of North Carson Street for violation of conditions of house arrest. Bail: $9,000.
— A 56-year-old Mound House man was booked Thursday, 12:35 p.m. for a misdemeanor warrant, failure to appear in traffic court. Bail: $1,595.
