Brewery Arts Center's Flatbed Concert Series to bring Country, folk music to Schulz Ranch neighborhood
The Brewery Arts Center will deliver live music directly to the citizens of Carson City while practicing social distancing once again this week.
Miles Construction Company has generously donated the use of a Flatbed Truck and with financial support from The Change Companies, the Nauman Foundation, and Carson Tahoe Hospital, all summer the BAC has placed musicians and bands on the flatbed and driven them through the streets and neighborhoods of Carson City and now the fun goes into September.
This Saturday, Aug. 22, the BAC is proud to present Stone’s Throw. A re-imagining of a Carson City favorite Hick'ry Switch, Stone's Throw is Folk Rock, Roots Rock, Country Rock by some of Carson City's most beloved musicians. Mark Johnson on Lead Guitar/Vocals, Kate Johnson on Rhythm Guitar/Vocals, Mike Suglia on Steel Guitar/Vocals, Randy Gaa on Drums/Vocals and Jeff Moser on Bass.
Please note, this week the flatbed truck will begin at 5pm and end at 8pm as it has been getting darker earlier. The flatbed stage will make its way through the Shulz Ranch neighborhood with planned stops at the pocket park on Tule’s Peak and Schulz Ranch Park. The route will also stop wherever people are safely gathering.
The BAC strongly encourages social distancing and especially wearing masks when they stop by the larger, open spaces and parks to perform a few songs.
The BAC will be giving out art kits to the kids provided by Southwest Gas Company and even face masks if you need one.

“We’ve really enjoyed bringing the music directly to the people of Carson City as art is so desperately needed for healing during this time” says Gina Lopez, Executive Director.
The neighborhoods and artists will change each week. For more information on all of the COVID friendly events through BAC, contact the Brewery Arts Center at gina@breweryarts.org .
