Carson City Humane Society's Pet of the Week: Arya, a recent PUP's Graduate
Happy Wednesday Carson City! Say hello to this week’s lovely Pet of the Week, a sweet girl named Arya!
Arya is a 1 year old female pit mix and a recent graduate of the PUP's program, who is looking for an adult only home where she can be the only dog.
Ayra was surrendered to the Nevada Humane Society on March 10, 2020 due to the owner not being able to care for her. Arya has had a tough past but has been making strides to overcome her past.
She was attacked by a dog when she was younger and has become very fearful of dogs, according to the Humane Society.
Arya is a recent graduate of the PUP's program, where she was paired with an inmate to help overcome some of her fears, and she has excelled at learning how to be around other dogs and people.
Although Arya has made some great strides, she would benefit from an owner that is willing to continue with her in training. Arya will be sent home with a journal that the inmate kept on her so they know exactly how to help her succeed in life.
Arya is a loyal girl, that looks for guidance and thrives from learning. She will repay anyone with lots of love and loyalty. She is worth taking a chance on! She just needs an owner that is willing to take a chance and give her the life she has been yearning for.
Let’s hear from sweet Arya herself:
"I am a super smart girl that is eager to keep learning. I am looking for an owner that will dedicate some patience and time for me. I will repay you will love and goofiness! Please take a chance on me, you will not regret it!"
