At least one person is dead after a crash at a roundabout in Silver Springs Friday night. The Nevada Highway Patrol reported the deadly crash happened at US-50 Alt and US-95 Alt around 7:30 p.m.

On Saturday, northern Nevadans honored the inaugural National Vietnam War Veterans day through two ceremonies, one in Carson City at Mills Park and the other in Winnemucca.

A 39 year-old Carson City woman was arrested early Saturday morning at 5:41 a.m. in the 2200 block of North Carson Street for suspicion of felony drug trafficking of a schedule one controlled substance, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.

LAKE TAHOE, Nev. — There was an explosion just after 5 a.m. in Stateline on Sunday morning, causing the road to buckle and closing Highway 50 in both directions through the casino corridor. Multiple agencies are on the scene including NV Energy, the Nevada Highway Patrol and the Tahoe Douglas Fire Department.

On Thursday, March 29 at approximately 4:50 p.m., deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the Tahoe Rim Trail at Spooner Summit for a reported missing person.

A two-vehicle accident in the 1800 block of North Carson Street is partially blocking the northbound lanes of Carson Street.

There are no injuries, according to Carson City Dispatch, but traffic is affected. Motorists are advised of congestion in that area.

Law enforcement is on scene.

A pair of convicted felons were arrested late Thursday night at 11:40 p.m. for multiple felony offenses, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported, including firearm and drug possession.

UPDATE: 1:30PM: Flames have been knocked down at the residence on Sandy Circle, firefighters on scene report. However, the fire was in three separate areas of the structure and crews continue working to ensure the fire is extinguished.
