Annual Easter Egg Scramble continues fun-filled weekend in Carson City
Colorful weekend festivities continued Saturday afternoon, as the annual Easter Egg Scramble returned to Western Nevada Community College in Carson City.
To kick-off the event, kids of all ages rushed the green belt of the campus scavenging for an assortment of candy-filled eggs and collectibles.
Later on, children and parents joined together for a series of activities, including party games, face paintings, drawings, or filling their stomachs with delicious food from John Hurzel’s food truck.
Any participant entered into the chase was also drawn into a raffle for a chance to win various souvenirs and gift cards, courtesy of Dutch Bros. and Walmart.
“We hope this event impacts both the Carson and student community,” said head-organizer Lilly Leon-Vicks. “That way we can continue to contribute anyway possible while giving parents and kids a chance to have some fun.”
All proceeds from the scramble will go towards scholarships and student-led organizations within WNC Leon-Vicks added.
