Second Wind Thrift Store Celebrates Grand Re-Opening
CARSON CITY, Nev. – Second Wind Thrift Store is celebrating their grand re-opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony and special comments from Mayor Bob Crowell on Saturday, May 4, at 10 a.m. Second Wind Thrift Store is located near the Carson City Senior Center, 901 Beverly Drive, Carson City.
The first 100 customers will receive free hot dogs, cookies and bottled waters. All customers will receive 50 percent off their purchases of every item in the store, excluding books.
Second Wind Thrift Store sells a variety of items donated by community members, including furniture, clothing, durable medical equipment, household items and more. All proceeds from the store benefit Meals on Wheels Carson City, which provides meals for approximately 300 homebound seniors and is expected to provide more than 90,000 nutritious meals in 2019.
“Every time you donate your items or purchase your unique treasure or special find at Second Wind Thrift Store, you are feeding homebound seniors and supporting their ability to remain in their homes,” Courtney Warner, executive director for the Carson City Senior Center, said.
Warner said the store’s new manager, James Painter, and dedicated staff pride themselves on offering Carson area shoppers outstanding customer service and a warm and welcoming experience.
“Second Wind Thrift Store has it all – from collectables to every day wear, you’ll find your treasure here,” she said. “We have the best team of staff and volunteers who are committed to exceptional customer service from your donation to your purchase. You’ll feel like a VIP shopper every time you visit us.”
Second Wind Thrift Store is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Donations of items in new or gently used condition are welcome. For assistance in donating, contact Second Wind Thrift Store at 775-301-6676.
