Js’ Bistro to Hold Fundraiser for Remote Area Medical Program
Js’ Old Town Bistro in Dayton will hold a Spaghetti Feed fundraiser on Wednesday, April 29 from 4 to 8 p.m. to help fund the Remote Area Medical events coming to the area later this year. $15 buys a spaghetti dinner, including salad, and $10 goes directly to help fund the upcoming health events.
RAM will hold health clinics in both Carson City and Lyon County later this year. The organization will bring its mobile large scale clinic to Northern Nevada to provide health screenings, immunizations, as well as dental and vision care to hundreds of people, including children, who desperately need it.
There are no eligibility requirements, anyone can attend, and care is given on a first come first serve basis. The Carson City event will take place October 16, 17 and 18 on the Carson High School Campus. The Lyon County event will be held October 9, 10 and 11 at the Yerington Boys and Girls Club.
The event is sponsored by the Healthy Communities Coalition. RAM’s mission is to prevent pain and alleviate suffering by providing free quality healthcare to those in need and to be the best at providing free clinic events, without discrimination, which enhance quality of life to those who are impoverished, isolated, and underserved.
For more information on the fundraiser call 775-246-4400. For more information on RAM contact the Healthy Communities Coalition at 775-350-4597 or visit www.ramusa.org. Js’ Old Town Bistro is located at 30 Pike Street (on the corner of Main) in Old Town Dayton.
