Carson City sheriff’s arrest log: Man jailed after violating order to stay away from wife
A 44-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday, in the 2700 block of Menlo Drive on a misdemeanor charge, violation of bail conditions, for allegedly being in violation of a protection order, according to a Carson City sheriff’s deputy.
The man was ordered by the court to stay away from his wife and had been coming around the residence multiple times since his release from jail, according to the arrest report.
An officer went to the residence and spoke with the reporting witness and took a report. When the officer left, the man returned to the residence. The deputy and an Alternative Sentencing officer arrived at the apartment and the man was arrested at 6:05 p.m. Bail: $3,000.
In other arrests: A 56-year-old Carson City woman was taken into custody Thursday, 5:15 p.m. at Walmart in the 3200 block of Market Street on a misdemeanor charge, petit larceny, after allegedly shoplifting items. Bail: $352.
— A 23-year-old Sparks man was arrested Thursday, 8:22 p.m., also at Walmart, for misdemeanor petit larceny. According to the arrest report, officers were called to the store after loss prevention stated they had confronted a man about shoplifting. The man dropped the items and ran away, getting into a green Dodge Neon. The vehicle was circling the parking lot when officers arrived, later determined that he was attempting to pick up his friend and infant child who were left in the store, the arrest report states.
Store security advised they had seen the man take two cell phones and exit the store without attempting to pay for them. When the man was confronted by loss prevention, he dropped the phones and took off running. Bail: $352.
— A 21-year-old Carson City woman was booked into jail Thursday, noon on four misdemeanor warrants for her arrest: two for contempt of court and two for probation violation. Bail: $7,340.
Those arrested on criminal charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
