Carson City emergency crews called to vehicle crash with fire at Research and College Parkway
UPDATE: One person was flown by Care Flight after a three-vehicle crash Wednesday morning near the intersection of Research and College Parkway, said Carson City Battalion Chief Jason Danen. The injured person was not in the vehicle that caught fire, he said.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called Wednesday morning to a motor vehicle crash in the area of Research Way and College Parkway in which one of the vehicles involved was fully engulfed with fire.
The crash was reported at around 8:38 a.m. with three vehicles involved and at least three people who suffered injuries. A Care Flight helicopter was ordered for one of the injured who was transported to the trauma ward at Renown Medical Center in Reno. The others declined medical transport.
According to Battalion Chief Jason Danen at the incident, there were no occupants inside the vehicle that was on fire, which was knocked down at around 8:45 a.m.
The crash was described as a t-bone collision. A pickup and two passenger cars were involved. The cause of the crash is under investigation. Traffic in the area of Research and College Parkway has been halted. Motorists can expect delays.
