Rocky Horror Show celebrates 50th anniversary this weekend only at the BAC in Carson City
Before Tim Curry dressed in drag to play mad scientist and seduce Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick in the Rocky Horror Picture Show, there was the Rocky Horror Show stage play.
This year marks the cult classic’s 50th year since its stage debut in 1973, which was quickly followed by the famous Rocky Horror Picture Show movie in 1975.
This Friday and Saturday, you can witness the musical stage play that started it all at the Blackbox Theater inside the Brewery Arts Center from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
A live band will play alongside performers for a show unlike any other.
Since its debut, the Rocky Horror Show has become the longest running contemporary musical in the world, with performances in over 30 countries to over 30 million people, and has been translated into 20 languages.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here.
