Making a Difference: Capital City CIRCLES recipient of $4,000 from Carson City watercolor art fundraiser
Local artist Colleen Reynolds, owner of CRME Exploring Watercolor, and Denise Mack, Executive Director of the Capital City CIRCLES Initiative, came together to present the donation proceeds check from the 4th Annual Watercolor Carson City fundraising event.
The check presentation took place at CIRCLES’ new location at 727 Fairview Dr., Suite D, Carson City on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2024.
The 4th Watercolor Carson City event has been a significant fundraising endeavor for the Capital City CIRCLES Initiative. With a goal to create sustainable community leadership and to end poverty, the Capital City CIRCLES Initiative provides a wholistic look at the eight-domains of wellness, resources, support, and opportunities for individuals and families striving to overcome the challenges of becoming the best version of themselves.
Colleen Reynolds, a renowned local watercolor artist, has organized this event to help support the CIRCLES Initiative's noble cause. Watercolor Carson City, artists and art enthusiasts from the community come together to showcase their talent and raise funds to make a positive impact.
In addition to the monetary donation, several watercolor paintings created for these events were donated to the CIRCLES Initiative for future fundraising efforts. CIRCLES participants who are breaking barriers and transitioning into a life of self-sufficiency are gifted one of the original artist watercolors of their choice. Denise shares that “This thoughtful act of kindness is a tremendous gift to those who are moving forward in their life.”
"We are thrilled to present the proceeds from the 4th Annual Watercolor Carson City event to the Capital City CIRCLES Initiative," said Colleen Reynolds. "Through this artistic endeavor, we aim to make a positive impact on our community by supporting individuals and families in need. We hope that these funds and donated paintings will assist the CIRCLES Initiative in their ongoing efforts to end poverty and showcase how art impacts community."
