Carson City Sheriff's bookings: Deputies make drug and alcohol DUI and warrant arrests
A 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 1:51 a.m, near the intersection of Roop Street and Little Lane on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs and failure to maintain travel lane, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.
A Carson City Sheriff’s Office deputy on patrol began following a sedan with a non functioning license plate light as it exited a hardware store parking lot, the arrest report states. According to the arrest report, the driver had to be asked multiple times before he was able to produce the documents requested by the deputy. An odor of alcohol emanating from his breath and person as well as a slurred speech pattern is noted in the report. The suspect stated he had not consumed any alcohol during the evening.
The suspect agreed to Standard Field Sobriety Tests and during the medical questionnaire admitted to drinking alcohol as well as using heroin and marijuana. A preliminary breath test was administered printing a result of 0.192 percent BAC. Total bail: $1,224.
