Mile High Jazz Band presents Open Windows: An Evening of Big-Band Jazz and Poetry
The Mile High Jazz Band with vocalist Cindee LeVal will be joined by nine poets and readers for "Open Windows," a lively evening of big-band jazz music and poetry.
The event will be on Tuesday, March 10, 7:30-9:30 p.m., at Comma Coffee, 312 S. Carson Street, across the street from the state legislature building in Carson City. Admission is $5 general and free for age 18 and under.
The program will feature award-winning poets and readers Rita Geil, Terri Breeden, Roy Chávez, Joe Crowley, Tracy McQuay, Susan Sara Priest, Timothy Rhodes, Sheila Steele, and Lee Warner. The poems relate to the tunes in complementary, and sometimes amusing or unexpected ways.
