Carson City man and two women in Douglas County jail in connection to stolen vehicles

MINDEN — On Monday, Feb. 15, 2021 at 8:15 a.m., Douglas County Sheriff's Office deputies observed a stolen white Dodge Challenger. The vehicle had been reported stolen to the Mesa Police Department in Mesa, Arizona.
The vehicle was stopped and both adult occupants, Yvette Bryan, 29, from Alpine, Calif., and Arthur Porter, 32, from Carson City, were arrested.
Bryan was booked into the Douglas County Jail for suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle, child endangerment, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and several traffic offenses.
Porter, of Carson City, was booked into the Douglas County Jail for suspicion of possession of stolen vehicle, child endangerment possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021 at 7:22a.m., Douglas County sheriff's deputies observed a stolen Ford Explorer in the parking lot of the Grant Avenue Walmart.
The vehicle had been reported stolen to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office earlier that morning and deputies were looking for it. As deputies tried to make contact with the driver of the vehicle, the driver drove away. Deputies chased the vehicle from the Walmart parking lot onto Highway 395 eventually stopping it on US 395 near Leviathan Mine Road.
The driver, Destiny Rich, age 27, from Mesa, Ariz., was arrested and booked into the Douglas County Jail for suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of burglary tools, possession of drug paraphernalia, eluding a police officer, resisting a police officer and destruction of property.
Along with the several items commonly used to break into cars, Rich had a hand drawn note of Tillman Lane in the Ranchos. It is believed that all three individuals are connected and known to each other. It is also believed they may have committed additional vehicle burglaries or attempted to steal cars in the Gardnerville Ranchos area.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who may have seen Bryan, Porter or Rich or who may have thought their vehicle may have been broken into or tampered with, to contact Sgt. John Storke in the Investigation Division at 782-9905.
