The Carson Tahoe SPCA is asking for the public's help with the assistance of an abused 8-month-old puppy brought to the Carson City pet agency Thursday. Duncan was surrendered to the animal protection group after its owner was incarcerated.
The male puppy has endured months of abuse both physical and emotional and his short life was confined to a cat carrier, said Susan Paul, director Carson Tahoe SPCA.
He was diagnosed with kidney failure and Carson Tahoe SPCA is doing what it can to save the puppy's life. His care is costly and SPCA is asking for help. Any amount would be greatly appreciated to help us save his life, said Paul.
"He is still hospitalized at Lone Mountain Veterinary Hospital where they are giving him the best medical care," Paul said.
Donations for Duncan can be made directly to Lone Mountain Veterinary Hospital, 780 College Parkway. They can also be made through the SPCA PayPal account as well as checks sent to Carson Tahoe SPCA, P.O. Box 4351 Carson City, NV 89702.
