Douglas County government experiences technical problems with websites
Douglas County, Nevada announced Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021 at approximately 1:00 pm that the official County, Public Library and Sheriff’s websites were down with “technical difficulties.”
The County’s website vendor CivicLive by Intrado Corporation, is experiencing difficulties with several other municipalities the company serves across the country. Those in need of immediate assistance from the County can still call the appropriate County Department for assistance.
Members of the public can access the County’s agenda and meeting portal to view public meeting agenda’s and information at this link http://douglascountynv.iqm2.com/Citizens/Default.aspx
CivicLive has posted the following statement on their website, “We’re still working to resolve the server issues impacting several of our client’s websites. Our staff is working to find a solution as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience and apologize for the inconvenience.”
CivicLive is also the website vendor for Arlington, Texas; Aurora, Colorado; Davenport, Iowa; Columbia Tennessee; Hamilton County, Ohio; Rocky Mount, North Carolina; Sierra Madre, California; Blind River, Ontario; and Clearfield City, Utah to name a few. There is currently no word on what type of outage caused the website failures.
“We understand that our website is a valuable tool for our community to obtain information about our County and that many of you will be inconvenienced by this interruption of service,” said Melissa Blosser, Community Relations Manager. “We remain committed to staying in communication with the vendor and providing you with a status update on restoration.”
