Shooting suspect leads NHP, Douglas and Carson City on high speed pursuit
UPDATE 3:20PM: KTVN Channel 2 is reporting that the suspect caught in Douglas County following a vehicle pursuit was a possible suspect in a shooting that happened in Reno. It was previously reported via law enforcement agencies and alerted through dispatch that the suspect was wanted for homicide. Reno Police tells KTVN that the victim is being treated at the hospital at this time.

UPDATE 1:35PM: The female involved in the vehicle pursuit was detained at 1:33 p.m. She was last seen in the area of Airport Road and Highway 395.

UPDATE 1:10PM: Douglas County Sheriff's Office advises the suspect in the vehicle pursuit is in custody in the area of Dresslerville and Highway 88. A female who was with the suspect got out of the vehicle prior to the stop. She was last seen in the area of Airport and Highway 395.

The Nevada Highway Patrol, Douglas County sheriff's and Carson City sheriff's deputies were involved Monday afternoon in a high speed vehicle pursuit southbound on Highway 395.
The pursuit happened at around 12:40 p.m., with speeds of more than 100 miles an hour. The suspect was spotted on the Carson City freeway, then headed south on Highway 395 into Douglas County.
The suspect was approaching the Centerville area at around 1 p.m. then headed toward the Gardnerville Ranchos.
At 1:05 p.m. the suspect was headed southbound on Foothill Road. The California Highway Patrol has been notified as the suspect may be headed into California.
