New Carson City office of Nevada Builders Alliance showcased
At their ribbon cutting on Wednesday, Jan. 31, Nevada Builders Alliance CEO Glen Martel cut the Carson City Chamber ceremonial ribbon to show off their new headquarters located at 603 S. Carson Street.
A complete remodel was done to the inside of what was long ago the Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise and had seen a number of reincarnations since then including most recently the office of an eye doctor.
The champagne event also provided the business community an opportunity to meet Mr. Martel who was named the CEO in early November 2023.
A large group of business leaders and builders gathered to shake hands with Martel and his staff while networking.
On hand to cut the ribbon and present certificates of congratulations were representatives from the Lt. Governor’s Office, Carson City Mayor Lori Bagwell, and our district 40 Assemblyman PK O’Neill and Lyon Country Assemblyman Ken Gray. Mr. O’Neill presented Martel with a framed proclamation on behalf of the State of Nevada.
Started in 1966, the non-profit’s mission is “Building a Better Nevada for all” and has grown to over 1,100 members serving those in the building trades. It is also an advocacy group and the voice for thousands of building trade workers. The alliance holds educational meetings and provides assistance to those looking to enter the trades through its charitable arm, the Nevada Builders Foundation.
