In a comment from Sheriff Furlong, he said that gang activities remain a top priority for enforcement actions with zero tolerance. Incidents such as this had become very rare over the past years. However, the Carmine shooting incident is a reminder that we all must be constantly vigilant about our youth activities and report incidents or suspicions as soon as we become aware. Early intervention with youth development, partnering with Juvenile Services, is an effective approach to avoiding tragedies.
