Carson City arrests: Man jailed after allegedly punching roommate in the head
A 32-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Friday morning in the 700 block of West Fifth Street for misdemeanor suspicion of domestic battery, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched to the location for a report of a dispute.
They met with the suspect and his roommate. Both said they got into an argument over the victim moving out. The suspect allegedly punched the male victim in the head, the arrest report states. The victim had a small cut above his left eye that was bleeding. The suspect had no visible marks or injuries. Bail: $3,137.
In other arrests:
— A 46-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday, 10:56 p.m. in the area of Airport and Fifth Street for misdemeanor suspicion of DUI and speeding 11 to 15 over the speed limit.
According to the arrest report, a deputy observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed, confirmed on radar going 54 mph in a 40 mph zone. The officer met with the driver who had red, watery eyes and a moderate odor of alcohol. He showed signs of impairment and agreed to submit to a preliminary breath test with a result of .114. At jail he agreed to submit to an evidentiary blood test. Bail: $1,249.
— A 48-year-old Dayton woman was arrested Thursday, 6:11 p.m. in the 1000 block of North Carson Street for a misdemeanor warrant, violation of a suspended sentence, issued Dec. 7, 2016 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000.
— A 44-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Thursday, 5:54 p.m. in the 1200 block of Fifth Street for a misdemeanor warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia. The warrant was issued Dec. 23, 2016 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000.
— A 21-year-old Carson City woman, Kelsey Halverson, was arrested Thursday in the 500 block of Roop Street for a felony parole and probation warrant. She’s being held without bail in lieu of a hearing.
