Carson City Park, Recreation and Open Space to host 'Ugly Sweater Walk' this Saturday
Pick out your favorite ugly holiday sweater for Carson City Parks, Recreation and Open Space's first ever ugly sweater hike. The hike will take place on Saturday, Dec. 19 at Empire Ranch.
We will hike around Empire Ranch and learn about the history of Christmas and we will learn about the purpose of animal fur. Be sure to wear your favorite ugly holiday sweater.
The person with the best ugly holiday sweater may win a prize! This event will be socially distanced, and everyone is required to wear a mask. Spots are limited, so be sure to sign up for this event as soon as possible.
Online registration is required and can be found at carson.org/ccpr under the activities tab.
Parking will be at the Morgan Mill Parking Lot on Morgan Mill Rd. This hike will be split up into two groups that will start at two different time periods. Choose and register for the group that works best for you:
— Group 1: 1 p.m.
— Group 2: 1:15 p.m.
Need to Know:
— Online registration is required.
— Masks are required.
— Minors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
— Dogs must be on a six-foot leash.
