Carson City and Storey County 4-H Youth Celebrate Awards at Governor's Mansion

University of Nevada Cooperative Extension 4-H Clubs held their 2016-2017 Awards Night at the Governor’s Mansion Nevada Room on Nov. 15. At least 100 4-H youth from Carson City and Storey County received recognition for their accomplishments during the year.

4-H’ers in Arrowhead Livestock Club receiving awards from leaders Julene Smith and Monica Colemen were:
Alexa Coleman – 3rd year achievement, Sierra Coleman – 6th year achievement, Hailey Haas – 3rd year achievement, Zoie Harmer – 5th year achievement, Kayla Holcomb – 6th year achievement, Kenny Holcomb – 4th year achievement, Devin Jackson – 3rd year achievement, Jonah Moniz – 3rd year achievement, Sophia Ruedy – 5th year achievement, Lander Smith – 5th year achievement, Hayden Story – 9th year achievement, Parker Story – 9th year achievement, Kelly Strasser – 3rd year achievement, Holly Strasser – 6th year achievement, and Katelyn Victor – 7th year achievement. Camp GOTR (Girls on the Run) is coming to Carson City for the second year in a row! Camp GOTR will be a week-long, half-day summer camp from 8 AM- 12 PM at the Carson City Community Center the week of August 5th- August 9th.

Girls on the Run Sierras is a character-building program for girls in 3rd through 8th grade operating in the Reno-Tahoe area.
